Up!

The new school is starting to take shape! The pillars are in place so now just to add some bricks and a roof.

Good to see the weekly progress - more photos in a week.
Metal mesh cages to create the concrete pillars are a common sight

Cambodian building work at it's finest.

We've gone for a natural floor effect, that massages your feet as you walk!

Week 5 (but really 3) - building the school

So it's been a while since we last updated this but that's because of Khmer New Year!

All the teachers, staff, builders and their families went to the south of Cambodia for a holiday of sorts. We spent 5 days traveling on a bus, visiting towns, pagodas, and the beach.

We then came back to Siem Reap for one week of public holiday, where we spent time with our families playing traditional Khmer games, and going to Angkor Wat.

Now the fun is over, and another type of fun begins - back to the building of the school!

We will put some more photos up on Friday, thank you for your patience.
